Last night, at the MOBO Awards 2011 which saw the cream of the music crop grace the 16th edition at Glasgow’s SECC, Wizkid and Tinie Tempah made their fans proud by winning awards in their different categories.

The event was hosted by US singer Jason Derulo and Strictly Come Dancing judge Alesha Dixon. With a host of stars from across the globe dazzled on the red carpet. Boyz II Men, Jessie J, Amy Winehouse’s goddaughter Dionne Bromfield, US singer Alexis Jordan, rappers Tinie Tempah and Tinchy Stryder, and rising Scottish star Emeli Sande were just some of the artists who attended.

And singers including Professor Green and Emeli Sande, Katy B and Miss Dynamite, Jessie J, Wretch 32 and Boyz II Men took to the stage to entertain the crowds too. Dionne Bromfield performed Amy Winehouse's song Love Is a Losing Game, in an emotional tribute to the late star who passed away aged just 27 in July this year.

Jessie J was the big winner of the night, sweeping the board at the MOBO Awards 2011, picking up four gongs out of the five she was nominated for.

Lifting Best UK Act, Best Newcomer, Best Song and Best Album, the star, who has only been on the music scene for one year, was overcome with emotion and looked close to tears.

Boyz II Men, who were celebrating their 20th anniversary on the night, picked up Outstanding Contribution to Music, Rihanna won Best International Act, Tinie Tempah picked up Best Hip Hop/Grime Act, Adele lifted Best R&B/Soul Act, and Tinchy Stryder picked up his first gong alongside friend Dappy, for Best Video.
